1. Who we are
BillFacil is operated by Raul Manuel Valdes Del Valle, a sole proprietor based in Texas, United States. For any questions, write to hellobillfacil@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
- From your account: email address, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), your business name.
- From your business: the clients and invoices you enter yourself (your clients' name, email, phone; your invoice lines and amounts), and your logo if you upload one.
- Technical: the usual data from any website (IP address, browser type) for security and operation.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages visited, device type, approximate country), via cookies. You can block them from your browser settings without affecting how the app works.
3. The AI assistant
When you use "Draft with AI" or "AI reminder", the text you write is sent to Anthropic (Claude) solely to generate the invoice or reminder text. Your passwords or full account data are never sent — only the description you write at that moment. Anthropic does not train its models on content sent through the API.
4. How we use your data
We use your data solely to run the service: showing you your clients and invoices, generating your PDF documents, managing your subscription, and answering your questions. We don't sell or share your data or your clients' data with third parties for advertising.
We also use Google Analytics to measure site usage in an aggregated, anonymous way (which pages are visited, from which country, device type). This information doesn't include your password or the content of your invoices. You can read Google's privacy policy for more details.
5. Where your data is stored
Your information is stored securely on the server, protected and out of public reach. Your passwords are stored encrypted (hashed), never in plain text.
6. Your rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you can request to know what information we have about you or ask us to delete it by writing to hellobillfacil@gmail.com.
EU/UK users (GDPR): you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to the same address.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time by writing to us.
7. Minors
This service is not directed at individuals under 18, as it is intended for people invoicing as independent workers.
8. Payments
Pro plan payments are processed through Polar.sh, a certified third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card numbers — Polar handles them directly and only tells us whether your subscription is active.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above indicates the current version.
